One evening last fall Lisa, Loretta and her children, and I went fishing (maybe I should clarify, they went fishing and I took pictures) back on one of Truman's places.  We took a supper of grilled chicken and I can't remember what else along...

While we were sitting there we heard what sounded like a stampede thru the brush behind us, it really sounded lyk a herd of buffalo or something, but out came a humongous armadillo with Bullet hot on his heels.  They went tearing up the bank and the armadillo went over the top and poor Bullet was left behind. : )

Well, I am VERY happy and excited to tell you guys that I PASSED my National EMT registry test!!!! I AM SOOO EXCITED!!!!  I took it on Monday morning at 8AM!  Let's just say when I got out of there I was very doubtful that I had passed it!!!  I was almost positive in fact that I had failed !!!  Besides the fact that I was told that 80% flunk it the first time I had no time to study at all.  I was going to study all weekend at work but somehow never got around to it except maybe 10min at best on Saturday night, then maybe another 5 min on Sunday afternoon before I fell asleep!   Now do you know why Paramedic school scares me!!  I somehow never find time to study and HATE studying with a PASSION, and it never gets done!  But I'm pretty sure that's not going to work in Paramedic classes!  So after I got out of the building I called my instructor from Woodward and told him that I'm pretty sure I failed and answered his 90 and 1 questions about how the test was etc.  Anyway I came home and ran some errands etc and went to bed and about 4:30pm he called me n asked what I was doing and stuff. And then was just kinda quiet and I was lyk if you called me to tell me I flunked my test I am NOT going to be very happy.  N he's lyk, well, I just logged on2 the national registry site, and um, let me see... O here it has J Wingard, and the time you took ur test and o, well here it says passed and registered!!!!  LOL! I'm sure that poor man will have ringing ears for the rest of the week, if he can even hear at all!!!    So now I am just waiting to get my card so I can apply for my state license and then I should be good to go! 

Anyway, I worked last night and am working tonight and this is the last before I go to TEXAS on Thursday!!  I am sooo ready for a break!!!  The past 2 nights I've been the extra aide so have kinda been the floatie flunkie!   Last night I did a baby's hearing and screening test and odds and ends and changed a man's bed about 3 times and gave a shower at about 6 this morning!!  Not the best time to do it but he wanted one so bad and he said I can wake him up whatever time of the night that it suits me to do it, just so that he can get it done for sure, but I felt bad waking him at 3  or so, so I just waited and we got it done!!  O and we had this guy last night, well let me rephrase that, we've had this guy for the last week that has severe dimentia and will NOT stay in bed.  The man is 93, I think, and used to be a preacher.  Well, he keeps crawling out of bed and falling and stuff so last night me and the other aide put him in a geri chair (basically an adult high chair) and tied him in and took him to the nurses station to be babysat.  What we didn't count on was, lyk they say, once a preacher always a preacher!!!  That poor man sat up there and preached all night long, then he would have prayer and sing Amazing Grace or some other hymn and then he would start up again!!  It was pretty funny except he was no quiet preacher, we could hear him all the way down in the women's center.  So we closed all the other patient doors and just let him go for it! 

This morning then I went to my mom's and babysat for her while she came to town.  She babysits a set of twins that are 3 and another little boy thats maybe 2.  They are a mess!!  The twins usually stick up for each other but then still get in huge fights between themselves and the little boy loves to just irritate the hound out of them.  He'l just put his foot on Sierra's leg or sometimes just in her line of vision and that just upsets her to no end and he'l just keep on doing it just to make her scream.  Then the one time the twins were on the recliner and there was more than enough room for Tyson yet too, but no she stretches way far out as far as her little tippy toes can reach just so that she's touching his leg and can say he's in her way and needs to get off!    I told them that pretty soon I'm gonna whup em all soundly and send them to bed, and they laughed as though that was the best joke they had ever heard!  Then the boys decided they were going to go hunting and got their sticks and my brothers and dads boots and they were all set!!  (I stopped them before they got the boys pump gun though!)  I fed em lunch about 11:30 and we all WENT TO BED shortly thereafter!!  I didn't sleep too hard till I heard my mom come home and then slept till 2:30 pm.  I decided my bed would be more comfortable than that recliner so I got up and went home.  On the way I passed my dear friend slaving away mowing the forest that had grown up in the graveyard while she was gone, so I changed and went and helped her weedeat for a little bit, then went home and went to bed!  Tonight has been pretty quiet (knock on wood).  The little man that was awake all night last night has been sleeping ever since we got here!!  I gave a little baby her first bath and then did her hearing and screening test.  I'm telling u she had to have ants in her pants or something cuz she wouldn't hold still for anything!!  Finally after I covered her with a nice toasty blanket she settled down and we got it dun!! 

Well if you're still reading u must be really and truly bored and I do pity u!!!  I would suggest a Tylenol PM and a bed!!!

Hi, not sure what I'm going to write since it's been such a long time but I guess I'm just gonna start somewhere...  About 3 months ago I started working for Trinity Hospice.  I really enjoyed it and made a lot of friends and got to know a lot of people.  I had anywhere from 4 to 9 or 10 patients a day and just went around to the different nursing homes where they were residents and gave them showers and baths.  Then sometimes we did continuous care on patients that were about to die.  All I did then was sit with the family and check vital signs every hour or however often the family wanted it done.  It really paid good and they paid for mileage and stuff so it was a really good deal.  Now you may wonder why I'm talking about all of this in the past tense?  Well, on Friday they got their personell files audited and discovered that they have to be CNA's, they can't just train you for what they want.  So that kind of knocked me out....   So now what am I supposed to do?   One morning I go to work and have a job and by noon I don't... Let's just say I'm still a little bit in shock!! 

So I decided to come over to the hospital and see what shifts were still open (I was still working here part time, just picking up shifts on the weekends and whatever I could).  Well, they had enough shifts open to make so that I had full-time hours for the rest of the month.  So now I have a little bit of time to decide what I want to do and find a job...

Also, in May, I started taking an EMT class up in Woodward which is about 75 miles away.  It was every Tues. and Thurs. evening and a couple Saturdays... I really enjoyed that!  I finished the class last Tues a week ago, and am just waiting to do my National Registry test before I'm a full-fledged EMT!!! I'm EXCITED!!!!!

My parents and the rest of my siblings left last week and went down to GA and SC for a family reunion.  So I was in charge of things at home!   I don't think anything died so I think we're all good!!   And let's just say, the cantaloupe season was in full swing!!!!!!!!  I don't know how many cantaloupe I got rid of!!  The watermelon were pretty thick too but I only picked one and figured they could wait till my family got home! They got home on Wednesday to a cooking hot house!!!   I called them though and offered to turn the AC on before I left and they didn't think it would be necessary!! On Saturday I went up and spent the rest of the weekend with Pauls at the lake with their camper!!! That was fun until it was time to come home and put real clothes on over burned shoulders!  That was not a pleasant thing at all, but i think the thought was actually worse than what it actually turned out to be!!  I'm just peeling now...

Monday night Lisa, her friend from Ark, a few other friends, and I went to Alfredo's and ate supper.  It was sooo good!!! She left for Paraguay on Tuesday and will be gone for close to 3 weeks I think so now I'm house sitting for her.  She has a dog a cat and a bird!!  Plus one HUGE toad that lives out in her garage!!  I'm telling you, I imaging if you kissed that ugly thing, you'd get Prince Charming for sure!  O and the GARGATUOUSLY HUGE spider that resides in her bathroom!!  I guarantee you that thing is at least 2 if not 3 inches in diameter!!  So far they haven't bothered me too bad...

Friday night we had a volleyball game which was fun!! I got home and had changed and was just crawling into bed when Margaret called from the hospital and wondered if I would come in and work.   So I said, Sure, I'll be happy to come in!   So I came on down and worked all night.  Believe me when I got home at about 7:30 this morning I was bushed!!! Never even found out when Bonnie came and exchanged vehicles!!! Let's just say I didn't do much at all today.  Loretta called sometime (I really can't remember if it was morning or afternoon) and asked if I would babysit for their and Freeman's children this evening while they went out to eat.  I went over there bout 6:30 this evening and stayed till bout 9:30.  We went out in their pool for quite a while and even got Devon in there for most of the time!  I was quite proud of him!!  Then we cleaned up and watched some little monkeys crawl trees  and combed some hair out and looked at pictures till their parents came.  Now I'm working again...  And let's just say it's rather boring!!!!  We only have 3 patients and they are all sleeping soundly so I'm not supposed to bother them!   Not that I would but those are my orders!!

Hey guys, i kno its been dreadfully long since i updated..... sorry bout that!!!  Life's been going pretty gud here.  I'm working at the hospital M-F 7-3 and then I'm working at our lil small town grocery store almost every evening from 4-7 and most Saturdays.  I'm mainly just gonna post sum pix and then maybe I can update more later!
